• Doorways & Hallways: Measure the width and height of doorways, hallways, staircases and elevators that the delivery team will use. Be mindful of tight corners or narrow spaces.

• Ceiling Height: If you’re ordering taller furniture like bookcases or cabinets, ensure there’s enough vertical space to accommodate it.

2. Consider Clearances

• Leave Breathing Space: Allow at least 5-10 cm around the furniture for easy movement and to create a balanced look.

• Opening Mechanisms: For items with doors, drawers or reclining features, ensure there’s enough room to use them without obstructions.

3. Check for Access

• Pathways to the Room: Ensure all access points, such as staircases, corridors, or elevators, can accommodate the largest part of your furniture.

• Obstacles: Look for any fixtures, light fittings, or other permanent features that might block the way.
